چکیده
New micro-devices, such as unmanned aerial vehicles or micro-robots, have increased the demand of a new generation small-scale combustion power system that go beyond energy-density limitations batteries fuel cells. The characteristics short residence times and intense heat losses reduce efficiency combustion-based devices, key factor requires an acute modelling effort to understand competing physicochemical phenomena hamper their efficient operation. With this objective in mind, paper is devoted development high-order meshfree method model inside complex geometries using radial basis functions-generated finite differences (RBF-FD) based on polyharmonic splines (PHS) augmented with multivariate polynomials (PHS+poly). In our model, chamber micro-rotary engine simulated by unsteady reaction-diffusion equations coupled steady flow passing bidimensional stenotic channel great slenderness. conversion characterized identifying different regimes emerged function ignition point. We show PHS+poly RBF-FD able achieve algebraic convergence scattered node distributions, enabling for refinement regions fluid domain. This feature makes it specially well adapted integrate problems irregular front-like solutions, reactive fronts shock waves. Several numerical tests are carried out demonstrate accuracy effectiveness approach.

Numerical Simulation of High-Speed Flows Over Complex Geometries with a High-Order Multi-Zone Cut-Cell Method
Results are presented for a new code designed to perform high-order direct numerical simulations of high-speed flows over arbitrary geometries. The simulations were performed on a Cartesian grid with the geometries imposed by a third-order cut-cell method. A multizone refinement method is also implemented to provide extra resolution at locations with expected complex physics. The simulations al...
متن کاملA Brinkman penalization method for compressible flows in complex geometries
To simulate flows around solid obstacles of complex geometries, various immersed boundary methods had been developed. Their main advantage is the efficient implementation for stationary or moving solid boundaries of arbitrary complexity on fixed non-body conformal Cartesian grids. The Brinkman penalization method was proposed for incompressible viscous flows by penalizing the momentum equations...

متن کاملThe overlapped radial basis function-finite difference (RBF-FD) method: A generalization of RBF-FD
We present a generalization of the RBF-FD method that allows full control of the overlap between RBF-FD stencils. We accomplish this by introducing a continuous overlap parameter δ ∈ [0, 1] such that δ = 1 recovers the standard RBF-FD method and δ = 0 results in a full decoupling of the RBF-FD stencils. We show with a simple example that global interpolation with both RBFs and RBFs augmented wi...
متن کاملA scalable RBF-FD method for atmospheric flow
Radial basis function-generated finite difference (RBF–FD) methods have recently been proposed as very interesting for global scale geophysical simulations, and have been shown to outperform established pseudo-spectral and discontinuous Galerkin methods for shallow water test problems. In order to be competitive for very large scale simulations, the RBF–FD methods needs to be efficiently implem...
